Institute Co-operation

IDC's work with industrial development is based on co-operation and the building up of networks. Industrial research institutes are among IDC's most important co-operation partners. Today, in most of the larger lines of business, there are institutes that work to strengthen competition in their own line of business, and to push on the industrial development. The institutes lead their own research and development. Since they have a close connection with universities and colleges, the institutes also process and spread research results to the industry. Nowadays, the institutes are mainly project financed, for example through national means, EU financing or through tailored projects from companies.

1+1 equals 3

IDC and the institutes complement each other in a positive way. Therefore, they also create much more together than they would manage to do by themselves. The institutes are a bank of knowledge for innovations and problem solving to the industry. IDC has the experiences and the regional social networks that enable the knowledge to be put into practice and be financed in concrete projects in the small companies. This way, concepts and tools from the institutes are united with the methods and the practical implementation of IDC. This co-operation makes 1 + 1 equal 3. It gives power to the industrial renewal and lasting growth in regions all over the country.
